Sarz Sanctuary

Sarz Sanctuary is in the process of being set up as a not-for-profit charity in memory of Sara Zelenak, who lost her life in the London Bridge and Borough Market terror attack in June 2017. The incident happened while she was visiting London from Australia and her parents, Julie and Mark Wallace intend to honour and give purpose to her loss by helping others suffering from similar traumatic grief.

Sarz Sanctuary is a Named Fund member of the Chapel & York UK Foundation Limited. The Chapel & York UK Foundation Ltd is a registered charity in England and Wales (1172653).  Registered company in England and Wales (10568435). The Chapel & York UK Foundation will send you a receipt for your donation.]

Sarz Sanctuary

With your help, Mark and Julie can launch Sarz Sanctuary and help people who are in mental turmoil or who have physically deteriorated after losing a loved one due to a sudden or violent death.

Traumatic grief has a significant impact on people not only emotionally, but also physically and socially. Mark and Julie therefore wanted to share their experience, offer true understanding and dedicate themselves to guiding others on their personal journey to find peace in their own way.

More About Sarz Sanctuary

Julie and Mark understand that there is not a one size fits all when it comes to dealing with traumatic grief. They want to create an environment where people can feel comfortable and supported in exploring different ways of treating their grief to find the best option for them.

Sarz Sanctuary will offer a free holistic healing sanctuary, providing the widest range of grief therapies that will be delivered in 7-day programmes. At first, this will happen in one centre on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Once up and running, sanctuaries will be rolled out globally, including in the UK. Your donation will be instrumental in raising funds for the planned UK sanctuary.

The Sarz Sanctuary website is currently under construction but please contact Mark Wallace on: for further information.
